An information session highlighting the importance of breast screening and access to free health services will be held on March 29 (Sunday) from 2pm in Blacktown, aimed at empowering women with knowledge on early detection and preventive care.
The event is organized by the Philippine Community Council of New South Wales (PCCNSW) through President Grace Liston in collaboration with the BBC Women’s Advisory Committee and the BreastScreen Centre, Westmead. The initiative is led by the PCCNSW Standing Committees on Women, Health, and Senior Citizen, with support from BreastScreen Centre, Westmead.
The session will take place at the Philippine Corporate Hub in Australia Level 2B/45-51 Main St. Blacktown NSW, Australia, 2148 . Women and ladies from the community are encouraged to attend, as they are the primary stakeholders of the program.
Serving as the resource speaker is Selin Prasad, Operations Manager of BreastScreen Centre, Sydney West Services, who will discuss the significance of regular breast screening and available free services that support women’s health and wellbeing.
The project is coordinated by PCCNSW Directors Imelda Bondoc (Women), Recy Ago (Senior Citizen), Josie Musa (Overall Info Session Coordinator) and PCCNSW NSW Vice President Ronaldo Villaver (Health), who continue to advocate for accessible health education and preventive healthcare within the Filipino-Australian community.
The initiative reflects PCCNSW’s ongoing commitment to promoting health awareness, early detection, and community education, particularly among women, through accessible and informative programs.
