The Filipino Community in New South Wales is set to gather for a heartfelt farewell celebration in honour of Charmaine Rowena Aviquivil, whose tenure as Consul General has been marked by strong community engagement and dedicated public service.

The event, hosted by the Philippine Community Council of NSW, will take place on Sunday, 3 May 2026, from 4:00 pm at the Liverpool Catholic Club, 424-458 Hoxton Park Road, Prestons, NSW 2170
Community leaders, representatives of Filipino-Australian organisations, and members of the broader public are expected to attend the gathering, which will celebrate Consul General Aviquivil’s contributions to strengthening ties between the Philippines and Australia, as well as her support for Filipino migrants and community initiatives across New South Wales.
The farewell program will feature messages of appreciation, cultural presentations, and opportunities for attendees to personally convey their gratitude and well wishes as she concludes her diplomatic assignment.
The PCCNSW encourages the community to come together in this meaningful occasion to honour Consul General Aviquivil’s service and to wish her continued success in her future endeavours.
