It was a night of jubilation as the peak body of the Filipino community in New South Wales, the Philippine Community Council of NSW ( PCCNSW ) Inc, held its annual Philippine National Day Ball at the Grand Ballroom of the Four Seasons Hotel at Sydney last June 9, 2018 with great success.
The prestigious event was held in commemoration of the 120th anniversary of the Declaration of Philippine Independence with the theme :” Kalayaan 2018, Pagbabagong Ipinaglaban, Alay sa Masaganang Kinabukasan”or translated as ” Independence 2018, Change We Fought For, An Offering to an Abundant Future. ”
The event also marked the first public official appearance of the newly appointed Consul General of the Philippine Consulate General Sydney, the Honourable Maria Teresa Latina Taguiang, to the leaders of the community.
There were close to 400 guests on the night with The Honourable Raymond Williams MP representing the Premier of NSW as one of the guest speakers.
PCCNSW would like to express its heartfelt gratitude first and foremost to all its affiliates for their unwavering support of the peak body as well as to the other members of the community who have continuously supported the projects of PCCNSW.
