Notice is hereby given that under the Republic Act No. 9189, otherwise known as “The Overseas Absentee Voting Act of 2003”, as amended by Republic Act No. 10590, all citizens of the Philippines abroad, who are not otherwise disqualified by law, at least eighteen (18) years of age on May 13, 2019 and who are registered overseas voters, may vote for Senators and Party-List Representatives.
All qualified Filipino citizens who are not registered overseas voters may file their applications for registration at the nearest embassy/consulate or other registration centers authorized by the Commission on Elections.
To register, all applicants must personally appear at the nearest embassy/consulate for biometrics capturing and bring the following requirements: 1) valid Philippine passport; 2) Copy of Oath of Allegiance or proof of Philippine Citizenship (for dual citizens); and 3) Copy of Seaman’s Book (for Seafarer).
For purposes of the May 13, 2019 elections, the filing of application for registration/certification shall be from December 1, 2016 to September 30, 2018.
Requests for Transfer of Registration Records may be filed at the Posts or before the Office for Overseas Voting (OFOV) of the COMELEC during the registration period.
